At its time of completion, ‘The Canopy’ was Law’s largest commission to date. The artwork includes 150, 000 preserved elements which will remain in situ for 10 years.
Working with the local community and business is central to Law’s creative ethos. For this reason, ‘The Canopy’ exclusively includes species native to and grown in Australia.
Rebecca Louise Law:
“I was free to paint with flowers on a scale that I am truly comfortable. The ceiling became my canvas. I feel that the work is pioneers, in terms of how flowers are portrayed and used as a material.”
