the beauty of decay

Exhibited: 8th July - 4th August 2016

Location: Chandran Gallery, San Francisco, USA

The artists debut solo gallery exhibition in the USA.

Throughout the duration of the exhibition, the botanicals changed in shape, colour and texture as they shifted through the stages of drying.

Alongside the installation, a series of limited edition prints feature, created in collaboration with British Photographer Rachel Warne, based upon Law’s artworks set within the historic grounds of the Luton Hoo Estate, UK

“The power of Rebecca’s installations lies in their perpetual transmutation. The living flowers move exquisitely through the natural stages of deterioration: they wilt, lose their colour and dry. By leading visitors along this path of deterioration, Rebecca extends the perceived limits of the beauty of flowers, imbuing them with an artistic value that makes them more than mere objects of decoration.”
